GAZA, 23 January 2011 (IRIN) -Jihad Hamdona grows strawberries in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza, 800 metres from the Israeli border. He is hoping 2011 will be a better year for the farm.The strawberry season runs from December until the end of February, and this will be the first season in four that he has been able to export his fruit. GAZA- A 65-year-old Palestinian farmer has been shot dead by the Israeli army near the border, doctors in Gaza say.
