Transitional Justice Coordination Group (TJCG) is planning to unite war victims in Afghanistan to seek their rights and with a vision for eternal peace in the country.
A conference was held by the Transitional Justice Coordination Group in Kabul on Wednesday focused on human rights situation, war victims’ rights, introduction of war victims’ international movements and their pivotal role in peace in their countries.
“They should be united so that nobody could ever divide them based on lingual and ethnic issues,” Yunus Akhtar, a member of TJCG, said.Some war victims participated in the conference complained that the government hasn’t been supportive to them.
“We call on the government to address our needs,” Ahmad Jawad Tabesh, a member of a war victims family, said.
Another war victim who was also participating in the conference said “the government should pay attention to us”.
Transitional Justice Coordination Group said it will hold similar conferences in other provinces in the near future.
