KABUL – Taliban suicide attackers disguised in police uniforms targeted a government compound Wednesday in southwestern Afghanistan, sparking battles that killed a provincial council member and three policemen. Nine attackers also died. (more…)

MINGORA, Pakistan — A suicide bomber on Saturday killed three civilians and three other militants in a busy market area in a northwestern Pakistani region wrested from the Taliban last year, an army commander said.
Seven soldiers and five civilians were also wounded in the blast. (more…)

Pakistani authorities say two suicide bombers exploded in the middle of a crowd of displaced people in northwest Pakistan on Saturday as the civilians lined up to register for aid. Police say the attack killed at least 41 people and wounded more than 60 others. (more…)
