ASADABAD: A child was among three civilians who died in a Nato air strike in eastern Afghanistan which also killed 14 insurgents, local officials said Wednesday.

The attack by the Nato-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) happened late Tuesday in the Dangam district of Kunar province, provincial governor Fazlullah Wahidi told AFP. (more…)

The disgusting and heartbreaking photos published in March by the media are finally bringing the grisly truth about the war in Afghanistan to a wider public.

All the PR about this war being about democracy and human rights melts into thin air with these pictures of US soldiers posing with the dead and mutilated bodies of innocent Afghan civilians.

I must report that Afghans do not believe this be a story of a few rogue soldiers. We that is part and parcel of the entire military occupation. (more…)

Afghan president Hamid Karzai has condemned the killing of five civilians during a raid by NATO forces.

An Afghan government investigation has found the five civilians were killed in an offensive by coalition troops in the northern province of Sari Pul on Monday.

The local provincial governor said at the time that those killed were civilians, but the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said they were insurgents.

The Afghan president then ordered an investigation by provincial officials. (more…)
