KASHMIR: 10 Killed And Family Is Captive In Kashmir

NEW DELHI — Violence in Indian-controlled Kashmir flared anew on Wednesday as gunmen attacked an Indian Army post near the city of Jammu and then barricaded themselves in a private home, waging a daylong battle and holding a family hostage.

By the time the siege ended Thursday morning, three gunmen, three hostages and at least five other people were dead, the Indian Army said. Seven women and children were safely rescued, Agence France-Presse reported. Read the rest of this entry »
